        “我的第一位老师是一个乞丐。又一次，我在山中迷了路，眼看天色已晚，不知何处得以容身。黑夜里，我在崎岖的山路上徘徊，遇见一位乞丐。我向他请教，我到什么地方可以借宿一晚。乞丐对我说：‘这里是荒郊野外，方圆几里都没有人家。如果你愿意，如果你愿意和一个乞丐住在一起的话，你就跟我走。’于是，我就跟了他去，一呆就是一个月。每天早上，我随他一起上路乞讨。乞丐的生活飘忽不定，尝尝食不果腹、居无定所，可他总是非常快乐，从未有过失望。每天晚上睡觉前，他总是对我说：“感谢上天的眷顾，相信明天会更好.”
      “日复一日、年复一年，我都在坚持冥想苦修。我的生活就像那位乞丐一样，时常陷入困顿之中。于是，我开始感到绝望，失去信心，甚至要放弃自己的功课。每每在这样的时候，我都想起那个乞丐，想起他每天晚上对我说的那句话：‘感谢上天的眷顾，相信明天会更好。’”
      “我的第二位老师是一条狗。有一天，我因为口渴来到河边，碰巧，有一条狗也来到河边喝水。狗朝水中望去，突然发现水中也有一只狗——它自己的倒影。那条狗感到十分恐慌，它狂吠着落荒逃去。可口渴难耐，那条狗又不得不回到河边。尽管非常害怕，他还是一跃，跳进了水里，立刻，水中的那条狗不见了。由此我感悟到这是上天给我的一个启示：尽管你会感到害怕，可你一定要跳进水里去。”
      “我的第三位老师是一个小孩。一天傍晚，我在一个小镇上遇见一个小男孩。他的手里捧着一根点燃的蜡烛，他要到寺庙里去敬献他的蜡烛。我对小男孩说：‘这根蜡烛是你自己点的吗？’小男孩回答：‘是的，先生。’我又问他：‘点燃的时候，蜡烛就会发光，而在点燃之前，蜡烛却不会发光。你能告诉我，这光是哪里来的吗？’小男孩咯咯的笑了，并不着急作答，而是大口吹灭了蜡烛，然后问我：‘你看，我现在把蜡烛吹灭了，那你知道蜡烛的光跑到哪里去了吗？’小男孩的回答瞬间粉碎了我的自以为是，让我自视渊博顿时化为乌有。那一刻，我真切感受到自己的无知浅薄、愚蠢迟钝。”
      其实，人无常师，可这并不是以为着我们没有去学习的机会——世间万物皆为吾师。学习乃人生之常道，然师常师者未若师自然也。天上的云朵，地上的数目，自然万物皆可为我师。
      如果说一个老师是一座游泳池，那你可以在此学会游泳，那整个海洋就是你的。
